My Boon Prot Keeps all the noobs alive, and their like, i own yous.
So many questions about boon prots. This is the build I run in Random Arenas when boon protting, and usually no one dies.
Armor
A good monk can wear any armor and still monk just as well as wearing full ascetics. But if your new to monking for pvp, I would suggest takingAll ascetics, and wanderers/judges pants.
Equipment
Insightful Holy Staff of Enchanting (20/20 Prot)
Truncheon w/ 20% faster recharge + Idol w/ 20% longer recharge for blood skills.
Attributes
10 Blood
11 + 3 + Mask Divine
10 + 1 Protection
Skills
Divine Boon
Contemplation of Purity
Reversal of Fortune
Guardian
Mend Ailment
Offering of Blood {E}
Protective Spirit
Signet of Devotion
Protective spirit stops annoying fire/air eles that seem to come in abundance in RA. Signet of Devotion can be used to heal someone if OoB is recharging and you have no energy. Also knowing how to kite warriors and mesmers is something you have to learn even in RA. Contemplation helps heal you and removes hexes that are dangerous to you and annoying ones such as life transfer (that so many necros like to use) and backfire. Also switch to your blood set whenever you use OoB for that faster recharge.

So you only remove hexes that are on you?

Yes. I only remove hexes on me. Holy veil is a waste in random arenas b/c the hexes there get reapplied so fast it doesn't even matter. And I only need to remove dangerous hexes such as migriane etc on me. Warriors can attack with empathy on, as well as spiteful. If they know they are going into random arenas, then they have to bring forms of self-survival b/c you can't depend on a monk always being there. Same thing goes for hex removal as healing.

Prot spirit on that person makes backfire do like 40-50 damage at most. And a quick rof will heal them AND prevent the next damage from backfire, which only lasts 10 seconds. So instead of just healing htem with veil and removing hte hex, I heal them with rof and prevent any other damage that might come along such as a final thrust or a lightnign orb.

Good build, I find that peace and harmony works great... just watch you don't attack!

Except PaH is removed by Contemplation. ;P
OOB is a nice touch. Anything non-enchantment would be nice too.

Insightful? If it's your primary weapon, and you have +15/-1 foci, wouldn't you be better off with a different staff head?

I don't have a switch set. The other set is to help OoB recharge faster. And I always use insightful heads so meh. And besides, if I have no energy, I just use sig of devotion which lets me recooperate 2-4 points of energy and I just wait another second or so and can OoB while healing at the same time.

Tell me that was a joke
IIRC Boon, CoP and Oob will all remove P&H if you cast, as they are not targetted,

I think you should go Mo/Me for Comp Arenas.
1. You get physical resistance. Nothing beats Whammos like that.
2. You get mantra of recall. That is exellent energy management in my opinon. (yes, many people will disagree about that)

Mantra of Recall is excellent energy management. It's just that Offering of Blood is... excellenter. More excellent. Whatever.

No, it doesn't.
And Distortion > Physical Resistance.
